Birthday Caller is a fun new application that allows you to wish people Happy Birthday in a new, high-tech way.  The application is a breeze to use: simply enter the recipient’s phone number, name, and additionally your name.  As soon as you hit call a request is sent to the Birthday Caller servers which place a call on your behalf to the recipient.  When they pick up they are greeted with their first name and that they should standby for an important message.  The Happy Birthday tune is then played to the caller along with a very enthusiastic message wishing them a happy birthday and to get out there and party!  There’s even a party noise maker sound effect to add to the fun.  Finally, the call is closed out by telling the recipient that the birthday call was brought to them by you!  The calls will even show your phone number on their Caller ID!

iPhone and iPod touch users can start making their own Birthday Calls in three easy steps:

1. Download Birthday Caller from iTunes (it’s free)
2. Verify your phone number in the settings panel (reached by tapping the info icon in the upper right corner)
